Sharing some easy and affordable ways to add Christmas into your home this season!
It is ALMOST Christmasđ which means it's time to decorate! Here are some easy and affordable ways to add that extra Christmas touch to your home! I love to dress up my dining room table with simple stems, create a holiday place setting, DIY ornaments, swap out prints for affordable ones on Etsy and using garland and floral stems to add greenery to every room in your home. You don't want to miss these easy updates and I have provide videos to show you how you can do it too!
EASY Dining Room Table Decor
A simple way to make a huge Christmas impact in your dining room is to dress up your dining table scape. I love to use inexpensive stems, pinecones, berries, candles, and glass trees to create an elegant look for a little. Plus, this centerpiece is all about layering- so there is NO perfect way to do it. The more haphazard the more natural it looks- which is what you want.
See how I decorated my table below! ⤾
Easy DIY Ornaments
I was looking to dupe the popular velvet ornament I could not find anywhere! So I DIYed them with my boys and I love how they look. You will need:
Acrylic Paint (I have this large pack)
Baking Powder
Brushes
Directions:
Simply add a little baking powder to your paint to thicken it (a constancy that is still easy to brush on) and paint the ornaments
your desired colors. You will have to do a few coats but it does not need to be perfect! Once almost dried brush on some more baking powder and then brush off. LIGHTLY dry brush on the Rub n' Buff (add as much or as little as you want.) Spray paint the tops gold to match. Add ribbon and done! That easy!
Easy Wreath Update
I wanted to find a wreath that worked well with my decor but couldn't find exactly what I wanted. So I updated one! I took this $40 Target x Studio Mcgee Wreath and added berries, baby's breath and ribbon that matched my color scheme this year. I simply hung it over my Anthropologie Primrose Mirror and I love the way it turned out!
You could easily do this to any wreath you own and add pinecones, gold berries, ornaments, fairy lights, florals, etc. Would you try this update?

Last but not least an easy and affordable way to add Christmas into your home is to swap out art with downloadable Etsy prints. These vintage prints and very affordable and you can send to you local print store (UPS, Staples etc) to be printed. These easily update the look of any wall, or shelf for the holiday season!
***Designer tip- you could also use wrapping paper to add to frames. Tie a bow and add a bell to bring in some dimension!
