I'm a teacher by trade with a Bachelors in Science degree and a Master's in Education, so by nature I'm creative, a problem solver and solution oriented. I found my passion for design with I was remodeling my own 1929 village home. From start to finish, I designed each room to coordinate, flow and created a collected look by incorporating old world charm of my family antiques with modern elements demonstrated the transitional look I love.

I vividly remember taking shopping trips with my mom to find the perfect pillow, the thrifted bench, and unique vase from Anthroplogie. These moments all lead to my passion for interior design. Designing resonates a happiness that is indescribable. I love helping others by taking their space from a place of discomfort to a timeless, curated home they love and can enjoy with their families.

My Mom was always my cheerleader. After designing my own home, she encouraged me to follow my passion, which I was hesitant to do. After she passed away, I knew there was no time like now. That I needed to follow my passion and dream of helping others create the spaces they love and turn them into timeless home for their families. This is where the "bliss" started. Her middle name was Bliss.
I have a passion for restoring old homes - mine included! I'm a thrift-store hunter + deal finder. Always digging for unique treasures for my home. I love the challenge of mixing old with new for an unique collected look.

I am an avid runner and cross-fitter. I love to exercise and have found so much enjoyment in trail running with my running buddies.

Helping a dear friend with their first floor bath. They live in a home similar to mine and mentioned they loved the style of my home. This family wanted to make a BIG impact in a small space with bold colors, brass hardware. The room is filled with early 1900's touches including beautiful trim, a phone nook, and glass knobs. They have a modern style that incorporates a Parisian Vibe.

Looking back, I absolutely loved helping them with their project. And creating these beautiful designs with mood boards, floor plans and 3D concepts. It pushed me to test different styles to create a eclectic look with traditional elements and incorporating modern touches. Every design I create provides me with the opportunity to grow my craft and learn new elements of design.

I can't recommend Bliss Design and Interiors, enough!!! Amanda was a joy to work and made the process so much fun. I was a little leery of e-design because I just wasn't sure how it would work. I was worried about paying for a design that would ultimately not translate into my space. This was not the case!! Amanda went above and beyond while designed our living room! She listened to me, went back and forth to find lots of options and made sure that this design would not just look good as a mood board but, that we would actually be able to make it come to life in our home. Not only do we have a great end result but, through this process Amanda has helped us fall in love with our home again!
